A Guide to Philippians

Overview

The present volume, the author tells us, sprang originally from discussions with Nigerian ordinands doing a vocation course on Philippians. It contains so many of the ideas found in Paul's teaching as a whole. Following the series pattern, notes on the historical context and detailed studies of important themes and ideas support the general interpretation of the Bible. The usual question material includes suggestions for discussion and research, and topical photographs from most of the areas where the series is used to underline the relevance of Paul's teaching for our situation today.
