A quote attributed to writer Diane Mariechild reads thus: 'A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform.' Though this is true, as everyone can understand, it is very unfortunate that women are considered secondary in almost every sphere, be it the social, cultural, economic, and religious realm. But this book does not want to lament the present status of women in society. Rather, it is interested in highlighting what makes women special. As such, it has identified fifty women achievers who are outstanding in their respective fields of expertise. These extraordinary women teach, inspire, and enlighten us.
