The young generation of our nation is passing through a very critical time at this juncture in the history of our nation. It is the shift from feudalism to democratic liberation, from respect of elders to individualism and from traditional values which strengthen the social fibre to new economic pressures creating wealth for the few. The effect of these changes on the younger generation is the rootlessness in urban areas and restlessness in the whole nation. To cope up with this situation, they then turn to alcohol, drugs and smoking which give only temporary relief but bring about permanent damage to the body and to the society.
